World Summit on the Information Society (WSIS)

The UN General Assembly resolution 56/183 (21 December 2001) endorsed the holding of the World Summit on the Information Society (WSIS) in two phases. The first phase was to develop and foster a clear statement of political will and take concrete steps to establish the foundations for an Information Society for all reflecting the different interests at stake. The second phase consisted of action and implementation plans to reach agreements in the fields of Internet governance and financing mechanisms.

High-Level Track Outcomes and Executive Brief

WSIS Forum 19-23 March 2018 Geneva Switzerland

At the WSIS Forum 2018, moderated High-Level Policy Sessions of the High-level Track took place on the 20 and 21 of March. During these sessions, moderated Policy Sessions with high-ranking officials of the WSIS Stakeholder community, representing the Government, Private Sector, Civil Society, Academia and International Organizations were held.
