This Handbook provides general information on radiometeorology and covers the following topics: physical characteristics of the atmosphere, atmospheric refraction, particle scattering, atmospheric gaseous attenuation and dispersion, hydrometeor attenuation, radio emissivity, cross-polarization and anisotropy and statistical aspects of atmospheric processes.

This Handbook on Radiometeorology has been developed by experts of Working Party 3J (Propagation fundamentals) of ITU-R Study Group 3 (Radiowave Propagation), under the chairmanship of Professor Gert Brussaard (Netherlands).
