Key Risks to Children Online

While adults and children alike are exposed to a range of risks and dangers online, children and young people are often particularly vulnerable. Children are still in a process of developing and learning. This has consequences for their capacity to identify, assess and manage potential risks. The idea that children are vulnerable and should be protected from all forms of exploitation is outlined in the UN Convention on the Rights of the Child.
