This report is the Regional Agreement for the Medium Frequency Broadcasting Service in Region 2. It states the sovereign right of each country to regulate within its territory the broadcasting service in the medium frequency band and to reach special arrangements with such countries as it may consider appropriate, without prejudice to other administrations; It also facilitate the relations among the Members of Region 2, mutual understanding, and cooperation onbroadcasting in the medium frequency band; in order to improve the utilization of the frequency band allocated to the medium frequency broadcasting service and achieve a satisfactory broadcasting service in all the countries; It certifies that all countries have equal rights, and that, in the application of this Agreement, the needs of each country, in particular those of developing countries, shall be fulfilled as far as possible; the Agreement recognizes that the protection of mutually accepted services is a major objective for all countries, attempting thereby to bring about better coordination and the use of more efficient facilities. Countries that have signed agreement Argentine Rep, Bahamas, Belize, Brazil, Canada, Chile, Colombia, Costa Rica, Denmark, Equador, USA, France, Grenada, Guyana, Jamiaca, Mexico, Nicaragua, Panama, Paraguay , Netherlands, Peru, UK and Northen Irland, Trinidad and Tobago, Urugay, Venezuela.
